I was first introduced to pilates when I was studying Contemporary Dance at Leeds University. As dancers we were lucky enough to have our own pilates studio and I took regular classes as part of our training. After a few classes I was hooked! Little did I know at the time that this would be my passion today.
The dance career was unfortunately short lived due to a shoulder injury so I stepped onto the corporate career ladder in London spending 5 years as a Recruitment Consultant and then 6 years in the design industry. It wasn’t until I was made redundant that I finally took stock and realised that it was a now or never moment to retrain in something that I had always wanted to do. I trained with the Body Control Pilates Association in 2010.
I continue to develop my own practice by attending regular classes as well as training courses and workshops throughout the year which allow me to progress my knowledge of pilates as well as keeping me up to date with the latest developments in teaching.
